MONROE TWP., Ohio -- A man who works as a tow truck driver is recovering after he was injured in an accident in Monroe Township Monday afternoon.
Officials say the man responded to a crash that left a firetruck stuck in a ditch off of Laurel Nicholsville Road around 4:45 p.m. While the man was setting up cables to remove the fire truck a piece of equipment struck him in the head.
A medical helicopter flew the man to an area hospital. His name and condition have not been released.
There were no other injuries reported.
The incident remains under investigation by The Ohio State Highway Patrol.
